The domain blueprint remains the test-design foundation
Arizona publishes grade-level Mathematics blueprint percentages by content domain and depth of knowledge. TestByState uses those public allocations for its fixed forms.
Essential standards receive greater emphasis
Beginning in 2025–26, Arizona identifies essential standards for proportionally greater emphasis. Practice still includes the broader assessed framework rather than reducing the grade to a short essential-only list.
The public blueprint does not establish one item total
TestByState uses 40 questions so families have a consistent longer-practice experience. That is a product design choice, not an official AASA count.
Calculator access differs by grade and question
Grades 3–5 are modeled without calculators. Grades 6–8 use question-level eligibility under the current guidance rather than an invented all-calculator session.
Final Spring 2027 dates require confirmation
ADE's published overview listed a tentative March 29–April 23 window, while its detailed calendar remained pending at review time. The website states that uncertainty directly.
