Tennessee TCAP Math Practice and Parent Guide
Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) Mathematics measures the Tennessee Academic Standards in Grades 3–8. TestByState provides original Daily, Topic, and longer practice for the grade-level assessment.
Who takes TCAP Math?
Tennessee public-school students in Grades 3–8 take TCAP Achievement Mathematics in the spring. Local education agencies select their testing schedule inside the statewide administration window.
2026–27 testing schedule
The 2027 TCAP Achievement Grades 3–8 mathematics window is April 19–May 6. Schools choose local dates inside that window, so families should confirm the exact day with their school.
Test structure and practice
Official TCAP Mathematics is organized into three subparts. Subpart 1 is calculator prohibited and later subparts permit the grade-appropriate calculator. Current blueprints publish a 37–42 operational-item range and reporting-category percentage ranges.
TestByState uses a transparent fixed 40-question approximation divided into three practice subparts. Questions are original, embedded field-test items are excluded, and practice percentages are not official TCAP scores.
