Florida FAST Math Practice and PM1–PM3 Guide
Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) Mathematics is Florida's computer-adaptive, through-year assessment aligned to the B.E.S.T. Standards. Students in Grades 3–8 participate in three progress-monitoring administrations.
Who takes FAST Math?
Florida public-school students in Grades 3–8 take FAST Mathematics. PM1 and PM2 provide progress information during the year; PM3 is the summative administration used in school accountability.
2026–27 testing schedule
For 2026–27, PM1 runs August 10–September 25, PM2 runs November 30–January 22, and PM3 runs May 3–28. Districts and schools choose local dates inside those windows.
Test structure and practice
Operational FAST Mathematics is computer-adaptive and given in one session. It covers the full grade-level blueprint in PM1, PM2, and PM3. The recommended time varies by grade and administration, and students may continue working up to the end of the school day.
TestByState PM3-style Full Practice is an original fixed form. It follows the published reporting-category ranges but does not reproduce Florida's adaptive algorithm. Practice percentages are not official FAST scale scores.
